A beginners guide to [livejournal.com profile] catadamon

Those of you who have been part of the community for a while, or those of you who already have an lj and actively use the tag and/or memory system will not have too much trouble understanding how everything will be organized here. Most likely, you will want to just skip over this. For the first time visitors and/or who are new to LJ, this is a must-read if you want to be able to find whichever fic you are trying to find ^_^

Teach me, baby! )

As of this posting, only current fics will be posted. There will be no further back postings of older fiction. So your f-list will calm down. I apologize for the multiple dumping of fics. It's all over now :D Everything will go back to normal.

Although it pained me to pay it, I've renamed the crazed_tenshi community to [livejournal.com profile] catadamon. So when you see my fanfiction posts with the new name, that's what's going on. I'm in the process of shutting down the website for Catadamon, and will be moving EVERYTHING over here. Fun times!

FOR MY OLD FANFICTION, I want your guys opinions on what should be saved and what should be thrown in the internet void. ALL of my old stuff can still be read on ff.net, but I only wanted to archive the popular stuff here. So what stories do you think should be posted here? Leave your opinions in the comments!

I'll also be adding index pages for series, so it will be very easy to find chapters, or you can still go through them with tags. If there's anything I'm missing, let me know :D

from [livejournal.com profile] obakesan:

Looking back, did you write more fic than you thought you would this year, less, or about what you'd predicted?

I wrote less than I thought I would, considering I was under the fool impression that I would actually manage to finish more than Sex and Sashimi in the year. But, as always, I over-estimated how much S&S would consume my life.

What pairing/genre/fandom did you write that you would never have predicted in January 2005?

I never really thought that I would be writing Avatar stuff, and shipping a coupling no less. In 2005 I abhorred Avatar, so uh yeah. Also, 月のしっぽ, obviously, because I wasn't even familiar with the series at that point. This is How it Goes... was only a matter of time, but I probably didn't think I'd be getting back into the Slayers fandom after so long. I am actually surprised, considering that I started writing Slayers that I didn't also start to write Ranma fic again, as that was the first genre I really wrote in, and I had a revival of that fandom this year.

What's your favorite story of the year? Not the most popular, but the one that makes you happiest.

It definitely wasn't the most popular, as I think I'm the only one who liked it, but Comforting Lies was probably the story I loved the most this year. It was a side of Aoshi's return that I don't think many have explored in the fandom. I also in dearly in love with Xian Lien, if only because Zuko/the necklace is my favorite pairing XD

Did you take any writing risks this year? (See above for unexpected pairings, etc.) What did you learn from them?

Several times I wrote out of my comfort zone of Aoshi/Misao-- and I find myself quite happy working out of that box. I think this year will be the last year that I write for RK. At least for a long while. I'm going to finish She Left on a Monday and the [livejournal.com profile] 30_kisses challenges, but I think that will be it.

Do you have any fanfic or profic goals for the New Year?

Finish She Left on a Monday, [livejournal.com profile] 30_kisses, and hopefully This is How it Goes.... Other than that, I make no promises. I do want to try to write more this year, because I've gotten out of the practice, and it's really starting to show to me.

T3T I like answering questions about my writing. If you guys have more, let me know and I'll be happy to answer them XD
